Monochrome Weekly

I am a day late with my contribution to Monochrome Weekly.  At first I was stumped as to what photograph I wanted to display this week.  Overnight while I was working on building my photography website it came to me.  And on my way home this morning after dropping my daughter off at the bus stop I remembered what I was going to post.  So here is my belated Monochrome Weekly photograph.

  1. I always find flowers difficult to “get right” in monochrome, but you have done a marvellous job!

    PS Thank you for the comment – I used a flash… 🙂

  2. Nicely captured. You’ve somehow managed to make the cactus look both soft and sharp at the same time, so much so that I almost want to touch it. And of course the dynamic shadows add much as well.

  3. PS – Your photo site is looking good. I’d never heard about Wix before now. It looks like a cool, very easy way to construct a rich Flash webpage. Keep it up!

    • Thanks for the feedback on my website. It was fairly easy to create and since the photographs are part of the flash, not so easy to cut and paste elsewhere. For now it is free but once I am more established I have plans for the next website build.

  4. LOVE this photo! I found you while blog hopping :o)

Still learning what blogging has out there! (In fact, How didi you post the mcklinky link without having to show the super long list of everybody?

…will come back and look some more :o)
